If you have a good quality, projected map of your field as an image, then you can easily convert it to our map format using the MSR MapCruncher tool. The conversion process includes the transformation of the map to the common mercator projection used in web maps. You will need to define 3 control points with exact GPS coordinates on the map. MapCruncher helps you in that by displaying the Bing maps. Render the map into a freshly created empty directory, then zip the whole directory and upload here: http://battletac.com/web/guest/upload-raster-maps. Follow the instructions that are displayed on the right side. Please note that the maximum zoom level we can handle is 18. The bigger the zoom level the biger the file is too so set up MapCruncher accordingly. You cannot upload a file bigger than 100MB! WARNING: Do not upload copyrighted content without having a written permission from the copyright owner to do so! We might ask you to present this written permission if any copyright infringement report arrives to us. Commercial map providers like Google, Yahoo and Bing (Microsoft) provide free access to the map on their site, but this doesn’t mean that you are allowed to upload portions of these maps to BattleTac. These providers expressly prohibit the use of the map data detached from the technologies they provide. So these maps are free as in free beer: you can drink it but you cannot take it home. Read the Google Maps Terms and Conditions for more information. Source.
