We wanted to print a 52′ by 36′ banner. The design included a bit map image, a lens, drop shadow lettering and a beveled edge around the perimeter. We exported the file as an eps but CorelDRAW X5 moved the beveled edge and when we attempted to add the eps file to VersaWorks, a file corrupted message appeared. We exported the file as a pdf but the corners of the bevel were unacceptably pixelated both on-screen and when we printed it. So, following the suggestion that Steven Jackson offered when were having a problem exporting a file for a 12′ x 52′ banner, we reduced the size of 52′ banner to 18′ and exported it as an eps. CorelDRAW was happy as was VersaWorks. Furthermore, the banner printed well. Is pixelating a typical problem when exporting files as a pdf? Why would CorelDRAW X5 move parts of a design when exporting it from a cdr to an eps at one size but not another? Source.
