This chapter has helped me understand Vector Graphics and Raster Graphics. I know, some would say “uh why?” Well, I have a friend that has a small embroidery business where she embroiders logo’s, names, or anything else that her customers desire. When a customer has a logo that they want to embroider on shirts, Hats or anything else, she must have the image digitized into a program for her machine read and ultimately produce the image into stitches for the embroidering machine to sew out. Getting an image digitized cost “mega bucks” depending on how detailed. So my big idea was to teach myself how to digitize images using Corel Draw which requires you to transform an image (picture) into a vector image before sending to another program that maps out the stitches for the machine (or something like that). I have been trying to learn for the last three months with no luck. So I have included some example photo’s to show Vector Graphics and Raster Graphics. Hope this helps some of you. So…this is my Very first Blog ever unless you count Facebook or Twitter. This class will be very interesting and I cant wait to get started. Lets GO! Source.
