More than 120 individual software titles are available on the computers in the campus computing labs, representing Windows, Mac OS, and Linux platforms. See the list below – if you don’t find the software you need, you can suggest new software for the labs using the online Request New Software form. The following tables list the software programs that are available for use on the computers in the campus computing labs. The most current version of computing lab software is installed one month prior to the start of each term. To minimize disruption of service, the installations in the Campus Computing Labs only occurs during breaks between terms. Lab consultants can answer questions about most of the core software programs used in the labs. However, keep in mind that many of the packages available in the labs are highly specialized in nature, such as engineering and statistical analysis software. These packages are provided at the request of the faculty for use in instruction. Students should seek assistance on these packages from their faculty member. The service provider for the Pitt App Store will be performing maintenance on April 25. Access may be intermittently unavailable between 6 and 8 a.m. Source.
