Mapping America: Every City, Every Block
The New York Times consistently produces superb Google Maps to illustrate geographically related new stories. Today The Times has released a series of Google Maps that allows users to browse local data from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, based on samples from 2005 to 2009. The maps are categorised into a number of different collections, ‘Race and Ethnicity’, ‘Income’, ‘Housing and Families’ and ‘Education’. Each map includes a search function that allows you to search by address or zip code.
