The British International School of Jeddah is a private community school licensed by the Ministry of Education. We are a not for profit organisation governed by a Board of Trustees. Fabulous results for the Stingrays team members who travelled to Dubai to take part in the British Schools of the Middle East swim championships. The competition took place at the 15,000 seat Hamdan Sports Complex. Great facilities and some fantastic results. Three of the team were FINA points trophy winners - FINA is a point scoring that allows comparisons of results of different swimming events. BISJ Our school caters for children from years K-13 and has in excess of 1500 students from over 60 countries. We are accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Additionally we are authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and are a centre for Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). Learning is important to us and is not restricted to the classroom. Our school is alive and vibrant. There are sporting events, clubs, concerts, school productions, assemblies, school trips, fieldwork opportunities and special events. Attending Primary School is a special time in a child’s life. Our children have a wonderful opportunity here at BISJ to meet children from over sixty different nationalities, learn about and respect their cultures and make lifelong friends. A child’s time in Primary School is very special, whether they are taking their first steps away from mum and dad or preparing to move onto their next phase of education in the Upper School or in other schools around the world. We are proud of our commitment to making their experience during their time with us rewarding and positive.
