I am only starting to learn how to use Surfer, and even though most things seem straight forward at the moment, I cannot find a way of solving one little problem. I have a contour map, created in Corel Draw7, with the Z coordinates being seperate layers, and XY coordinates as points on the contours. Is there any easy way of exporting this .cdr file from Corel, so that I could create a shaded relief map in Surfer? I don’t know a way to convert a Corel Draw file to ASCII XYZ DAT. You may be able to export the file to AutoCAD DXF format, load the file as a base map, digitize the contours, and add Z values. Source.
