I recently completed my Professional Certificate in GIS from Michigan State University developing proficiencies in ESRI ArcGIS 10.1 and Adobe Illustrator software. In the past year I have also completed 60 hours of ESRI ArcGIS coursework. I have sharpened and gained new skills in spatial problem solving, remote sensing, GIS, geospatial data collection and analysis, map design and cartographic principles. I also have a Bachelors degree in Geography-Natural Resource Management from Huxley College of the Environment, Western Washington University. Through my studies I developed and honed skills in physical geography, cartography, GIS, geomorphology, fluvial geomorphology, site survey and assessment, analysis, technical writing and research. With Washington State Parks I have current professional experience developing and produce reference maps, information, signage and technical documents utilizing CorelDraw and Microsoft Office software. I previously worked at Huxley College as a Map Library Assistant, Research Assistant and Lab Assistant.
