Triathlon Artwork Specs – Triple Play

The two most popular forms of computer artwork are vector or raster graphics. At Triple Play, we require all artwork to be in Vector format. To help you understand the difference between the two different formats, please see the below. Vector graphics is the use of geometrical shapes, points, lines, curves, or polygons which are based on mathematical equations to represent images. That’s the technical explanation. Simply put, Vector Artwork is the cleanest and highest quality artwork which can be resized to fit on a billboard an still appear clear and sharp when standing right in front of it, not just from a far. Just like the example above, Vector Artwork can sometimes be referred to as “Line Art”. Another feature of Vector Artwork is that we can change the colours at anytime to match more closely to your corporate colours unlike a raster. Artwork created in Adobe Illustrator or Freehand or Corel Draw will work. If your team is using logo’s from a sponsor or company, 99% of the time they will have their logo in vector format. You just need to ask and if necessary give them a little nudge. Fonts need to be converted into paths or outlines. This is to ensure that you get exactly the same logo and stops the need for us to send an email back if we don’t have that particular font in our system. We can recreate logo’s in vector format for a fee. Most logo’s are simple and take minimal time to re-draw, but if the logo is complex then this could take some time. We can always give an estimation on the cost of vectorizing your logos once we have seen them. This is Dynamik Widget Area.
